- Lancing device is used for obtaining capillary whole blood for glucose testing.
- Setting ready to test on your finger. Select an area to be lanced.
- Wash with soap and warm water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Pull off end cap and push lancet firmly into holder.
- Remove lancet top.
- Save top for safe disposal of used lancet. Replace end cap.
- Turn depth dial to desired lancing depth.
- 1-2 for soft/thin skin.
- 3-4 for average skin.
- 4-5 for thick/calloused skin.
- Gently pull arming barrel until a click is heard using the lancing device for finger testing. Place tip firmly against finger on other hand.
- Press trigger button. Gently massage finger from palm to fingertip to form blood drop.
